SemantiGrid Knowledge Base - SGSKB - (TM)

SemantiGrid (TM) - A complete enterprise class solution for petabyte level (and beyond) document/data storage. Data is automatically identified, text is extracted, indexed and various preprocessing performed for enhanced access. Support for all document types (e.g., text, pdf, doc, ppt, xls, ...), audio, video and graphics. Document metadata is exposed via SQL.
Beyond Hadoop in terms of performance, scalability and text analytic functions, SemantiGrid can be integrated with Hadoop to provide enhanced text analytic capability.
Integration with an EDW is supported (currently Teradata) for direct/transparent SQL access to SemantiGrid functions. This provides the ability for an EDW to become a highly performant document store and text analytic engine where enterprise class BI tools can benefit from advanced text analytics and massive document/data stores. Integration with an EDW is accomplished with SGDatabaseLink(TM).

SGSKB (TM) - A core feature of SemantiGrid that can also function in a standalone mode, SGSKB is a high performance in-memory multi-tenant ontology that provides semantic functions to make deep analytics possible. Many lookups are sub microsecond (a 10 node cluster can provide about a billion lookups/second). An ideal text analytics tool for the research community, business users and application developers needing advanced/high performance text/NLP/semantic processing for applications such as near real time sentiment analysis.
SGSKB (TM) can be used stand-alone to provide its advanced analytic capability to any database or application needing very low latency text analytic functions. Functions such as Part Of Speech (POS), synonyms, meronyms, antonyms, word distance, fuzzy match, document classification, sentiment analysis, phrase support, sentence disambiguation are a few of its capabilities, SGSKB (TM) supports the addition of domain specific ontologies and provides customers mechanisms to add their own relationships.
Enhance Hadoop's performance, scalability and text analytic capability. SGSKB (TM) offers orders of magnitude performance boost over tools such as WordNet. The JNI interface allows the SGSKB (TM) to be integrated with frameworks such as Spark, Hive and Impala providing advanced text analytic capabilities.

SGDatabaseLink (TM) - Provides the ability to integrate SemantiGrid (TM) and/or SGSKB (TM) with a traditional database. SGDatabaseLink (TM) provides the ability for a traditional database to function as a text analytics platform where SemantiGrid's (TM) advanced functions are directly called from SQL statements and where BI tools can direclty query summarized information.
SGRouter (TM) - A low latency software router that allows users to connect to multiple instances/domains of SemantiGrid (TM)/SGKB (TM) or other TCP/IP system, providing distribution of user workload and fail-over capability. SGRouter (TM) is routing rule driven. Routing can be dynamically changed to modify the target domain a user is routed to. SGRouter (TM) can also be utilized for routing of users of any TCP/IP connected database or application. Users/applications can be dynamically rerouted to different target hosts/systems in the event of target system failure.
SGMultiLoad (TM) - A product that provides the ability to load two or more systems in parallel (such at SemantiGrid domains or Hadoop clusters). SGMultiLoad (TM) is designed for very large dataloads across distributed domains with the ablity to ensure that disruptions within the network are handled gracefully and load jobs are transparantly resumed.
SGLoader (TM) - A high performance parallel data transfer and load capability for SemantiGrid and Hadoop environments with large data volume requirements or the need for speed of transfer. SGLoader (TM) is a low latency and high throughput software tool that uses parallelism to transfer data across networks and can be tunneled into any load mechanism (e.g., SemantiGrid (TM), Hadoop, Database, etc...)
